It had its first oil change at 117,000 miles -mainly because when I had time to get it done, I didn't have the money and vice versa. What probably saved the car was that I did have the oil checked every time I filled the gas tank and it had a quart of oil added off and on, roughly every 1,000 to 1,500 miles. When I sold the car (for $450), it had 144,000 miles on it and that guy drove it for several years after that -or his son used it as a school vehicle. Oh -I did get one other oil change in on it -at about 133,000 miles. Darned good little buggy that was!Jenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16425701332785470116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1335680391050121939.post-41127343192702270862008-01-12T19:54:00.000-05:002008-01-12T19:54:00.000-05:00Well let's be honest, women just Can't know it all...Well let's be honest, women just Can't know it all right?

I would be the same, but luckily for me the garage call when the maintenance is due--They want the money.

Still it takes me a couple weeks to get around to it.

Glad things worked out good for you.WrkNProgresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12904777585475132338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1335680391050121939.post-13826154789049604772008-01-12T18:48:00.000-05:002008-01-12T18:48:00.000-05:00*crackin d hell up* what in that world???? Dad telling you that is very scary.

I also need to get my oil changed soon, which I've been planning to do, but I couldn't because of the check engine light. That's a whole other story for later.

Luckily, I have found the perfect place to get the oil change. It is in the back of the Walmart. So during the wait I have my choice of actually going back inside the Walmart to shop, walking across the parking lot to watch a movie at the dollar theater, or walking to a number of other places to have lunch.laughinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11999190808736700318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1335680391050121939.post-85005464642293262622008-01-11T19:06:00.000-05:002008-01-11T19:06:00.000-05:00I need one now, too and I have for several weeks a...I need one now, too and I have for several weeks and I keep putting it off. Someone should create a chain of them that women want to go to. They should be very clean, have a bright & homey feel, great magazines, have a Starbucks, etc. We'd remember & we would even pay an extra $5 for oil changes. :)Freckle Face Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13324960438835000817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1335680391050121939.post-4786347045316624262008-01-11T15:33:00.000-05:002008-01-11T15:33:00.000-05:00I did the same to my other car and it died.
