A Mish Mosh

Well...not much going on with me per se. Life is moving right along and I am loving it right about now.

The Analyst received some pretty shattering news yesterday. He was fired from his job. He felt it was coming. There was tension and behind the back talking and he was even written up by his manager. I feel really bad for him because he is mad, scared, ashamed and a whole host of other emotions all wrapped up in one. He is worried about how he will pay his bills and its a valid concern because he has some pretty mountainous bills not to mention child support to his ex wife.

Unemployment is a complete joke. Who in the world can survive off of $380 a week? I mean come on. Not when you are used to making upwards of $75K a year. Some things will clearly have to go by the wayside and I feel bad for him.

He is scouring head hunters and job boards now trying to find something as soon as possible and I pray he does...for his sake.

Although our future together is none existent as chronicled in this blog I still feel compelled to try and help as much as possible but there is only so much I can do to be honest so we'll see how this thing pans out.

I just feel really bad for him but trying to put on a brave front for him that every thing's going to be OK. I'm not really sure exactly what to do in this situation but I'll wing it I supposed.

On a brighter note, mom seems to be flourishing in her new assisted living apartment. I am so happy about that you have no idea. There is such a load lifted from my shoulders now that she's taken care of. She even managed to go downstairs for a social meet and greet for an hour yesterday. Hot damn! LOL

What is Up With That?

Ok, there is something I really need to understand. I'm fighting an age old battle around here. What the hell is up with men and the remote control? I'm just asking. Why is it that men CAN NOT……I repeat...CAN NOT sit through a damn TV show without flipping the channels at least 12 million times during the course of the show.

Men, please tell me what you fascination with the remote is all about. I just want to freaking understand. I cringe when a commercial comes on because I know I inevitably must deal with the obligatory channel surfing. I know we have 120 channels but must we rush to see ALL of them within a 2 minute span? Must we?

Can we please just leave the TV on ONE channel?

So men…please tell us what the deal is….that is if you can put the remote down long enough to type a response.

I'm Going To Kill That Damn Dog

My neighbor has this little pissy loud ass Chihuahua and I can't stand that bastard. She keeps yelping and barking all freaking day and night. 8:00pm, what is the dog doing? Barking. 10:00pm, what is the dog doing? Barking. 12:00am, what is the dog doing? Barking. 3:00am, what is the dog doing? BARKING!!!!!! The whole neighborhood can hear this creature.

I tell you what, come next week, that little shit will come up missing. Watch. I'm going to finally get some sleep by any means neccessary.

Little rat looking bastard. I hate that dog.

That's What You Are Supposed To Do

I was reading a post from a male blogger the other day that had me pondering some things. He was bemoaning the lack of available “good women” and how they did not appreciate him for the “good man” that he was.

A few questions popped into my head at that moment. For one, where are you meeting these women and what type of women are you getting involved with? Secondly, how are you treating these women? Are you sure you are doing what you are supposed to do?

He went on to extol all of his virtues such as: Having his own house, his own car, a job, never have been in jail and taking care of his child. Of course these are good things and you deserve appreciation for it.

Excuse me if I am wrong but those are things that a grown man is supposed to have and do anyway. You don’t get “I’m a good man” extra credit points by just doing what you are supposed to do. This is what being a productive member of society is all about.

I have all those qualities (minus the kid part) and no one is breaking down my door giving me all kinds of accolades nor do I expect that. Most of the people I know have the same qualities this man has listed.

Hey, I have an idea…..how about going the extra mile. Maybe volunteering in the community, taking your woman on a surprise weekend getaway. Being a big brother to a deserving child. Maybe then I can say you are the good man you think you are.

I’m just saying.

I Could Have Been A Rock Star!

How many of you are in the careers you envisioned for yourself when you were the bright eyed, eager young person still in school trying to figure out what you wanted to be in life?

Deep down, I am doing what I’ve always wanted to do…train/teach. I‘ve wanted to teach/train since I was a young girl and now I’ve been in my chosen career for the last 10 or so years.

But I must say…I had a secret wish that I never told anyone. Deep down in the lower most recesses of my soul I really wanted to be a ……a……singer or movie star. Stop your laughing dammit!!! I could have been a singer if in fact I could carry a tune but since I can’t I decided to let that career choice move right on by. LOL I always imagined myself on a grand stage with TV cameras all over the place in my sexiest outfit belting out the most amazing song with hordes of admirers throwing applause and roses at my feet. Aaaahhh yes! That would have been the life. LOL

Since no one has knocked down my door to act in their movies or TV show, I decided to let that career choice pass as well. LOL
