Secret Single Behavior

My favorite TV show of all time is Sex and The City. I love everything SATC. Don't judge me!

Anyway, there was an episode where the girls talked about their Secret Single Behavior. My girl at Broke in the City did a post on this and I thought I would steal her idea and make a post of my own.

Secret Single Behaviors are behaviors you exhibit when you are alone at home but would never want your mate to see. Here are a few of my SSB:

  1. Washing my hair. I know we all wash our hair but I refuse to do it around my s/o unless I absolutely have to.

  2. Painting my toes nails. I hate my feet and would never want my s/o to ever see them. EVER!

  3. I eat Pineapple and cheese sandwiches. I also eat banana sandwiches. Don't judge me!

So what are YOUR secret single behavior you don't want your mate to see?

Woman Laws

Over the years men have developed and lived by their set of “man laws”. Well I felt it was only fitting that we women publish our own set of “woman laws”.

  1. Guys, if a woman is attracted to you, she will not introduce you to her friend so YOU guys can hook up. Get over it.

  2. If we sleep with you fellas relatively soon after we meet, it’s not because we are sluts, it’s because we thought you were mature enough to handle an adult situation. Oops.

  3. Contrary to popular belief not all women have lesbian fantasies and will indulge your freaky desire for a 3 way.

  4. Just because you had us in the past DOES NOT mean you will always be able to get the goodies anytime you want. When the candy store is closed, it’s CLOSED.

  5. A real woman does not sleep with her friends’ man. EVER.

  6. A woman will tell you what she wants, you just have to listen.

  7. Women need our girly getaways with our girls periodically. Deal with it.

  8. If a woman does not call you back fellas, she’s just not that into you.

  9. If we have a good job, our OWN place and our own car and pay our own bills, we will not give you the time of day if you live in your momma’s basement and ride the bus to pick up your unemployment check. Not going to happen.

Responsibility or Respect?

I was listening to a nationally syndicated radio personality this afternoon and the subject of cheating came up on his show.

There was a caller that said that she is not responsible for another person's relationship or marriage. I was completely stunned. There were other callers that cosigned this woman's sentiment.

It dawned on me that she used that line as an excuse to justify sleeping with married men and that enraged me. You say you are not responsible for another person's relationship or marriage but what about respecting it.

I supposed that respecting someones marriage or relationship is old fashioned.

Weekend Recap

The following weekend was bananas. I loved it though. Usually my weekends are pretty low key, most of the time, but I had a few parties to hit this weekend starting with my girl Clueless’s sister’s birthday party on Friday. The party was crowded and the music was wonderful and I stayed on the dance floor. It was great. I must admit that this getting old crap is for the birds. 20 years ago I stayed on the floor from the time I arrived at the party until the house lights came on signaling us to leave. This night my friends I was barely able to make it through 2 songs before I called it quits and sat my old ass down.

As I was sitting at the table with my girls this guy comes up and sits down and proceeded to give his best rap which was pathetic. He had no clue that he tried to talk to me several months ago when my girls and I were out at another spot. Guys, just an FYI, please try to remember when you have tried to talk to girl in the past and she blew you off. It could be embarrassing for you. Just trying to help you out here.

A few hours later we spot an ex boyfriend of mine and one of my girls yells, “Do I need to cut someone?” as she reached into her bra. You gotta love friends that have your back. I assured her he was cool. Disaster averted.

Then Saturday one of my oldest and closest friends gave herself a birthday dinner party. It was fabulous. She spent a pretty penny on the festivities. She made a speech to assure us that now with this milestone birthday she was going to become more mature. No more making out with random strangers at bars, no more showing her boobs, all of that was now over, we were looking at a new and improved woman. 20 minutes later she is accosting some hot guy as they were both coming out of the bathrooms at the same time (Men and Women’s’ rooms are next to each other.). Yeah, that goodie too shoes pledge will last I’m sure. She is the same person I am going to LA with next week. God help me.

Would You Marry A Virgin?

I was perusing the blogosphere when I can across a post that asked the question “Would You Marry A Virgin?

There were many responses to this question from one end of the spectrum to the other.

Personally, as a woman, I would not ever want a virgin. I teach for a living I sure don’t want to go home and have to teach as well. That's just what I need, a guy that doesn't know where to put what, when and how fast or if he should put it there or over here. No thanks buddy.

Most of the men, surprisingly, said they wouldn’t want to marry a virgin either. It seems that beyond the ego tripping that goes along with “knocking off” a virgin they pretty much feel the same way, they want a partner that is experienced and is not so inclined to have to teach them how to please them in bed.

I once worked with a woman, who happened to be my supervisor at the time, who shared with me that she was a virgin when she got married and wished she hadn’t waited. I found that very interesting to say the least.

What do you think? Would you prefer to actually marry a virgin or someone with experience? If you were a virgin when you married how did that work out for you? Come on, you can share, it’s just you and me………..and hundreds of readers. No need to be shy.

I've Made A Decision

I’ve made some decisions in my life. I feel this is the best route for me to take at this time and I’m sure I will be much happier. Although this decision was not easy or done in hast, it was the best thing for all concerned.

I’ve decided to dump my current bitch ass BFF’s for some new kick ass friends! I need new friends that are funny, spontaneous, adventurous, employed and love traveling.

I am sick of these boring heifers that I currently hang around. Humph!

Huh, I feel better already.

Have you ever felt the need to let go of your current baggage and start fresh?
