Oh Yeah! I'm Hanging Out Baby!!!

So last night I decided that I wanted to go out and explore a little bit. I perused my email and found a few people meeting up for tapas and drinks at a dueling piano bar in Marietta called Red Sky. Score!! I was in. I got dressed and drove out to Marietta and I must say I had a fabulous time. The place reminded me of Pat O'Brian's in New Orleans. It was very lively and people were everywhere. The piano players were fabulous and I was enjoying the music. So much so that I was singing and dancing along until I realized that I was losing cool points and piped down and just swayed while sipping my Shirley Temple instead. A diva must remain a diva at all times ya know.

The group I was with had a room reserved so we were all there getting to know each other. I met some really nice women. The tapas were really good. A few of the women and I decided to go out to the bar area to get a better look at the piano players and enjoy the music better. We all exchanged phone numbers and they invited me to a bar/club spot in Buckhead tonight. SCORE! I'm not sure if they will still want to go tonight in the light of day with no alcohol involved but we'll see.

I'm off today to meet some other women for a movie date.

I think I'm Ready

OK, so I am finally seeing my way clear of boxes so now I am in the process of trying to make my apartment feel like home. I finally feel like I am ready to start hanging out and as I think about that I am starting to get excited. I'm going to start perusing my email to see what the happenings are here in Atlanta. the weather is supposed to be GORGEOUS this weekend so I am excited about doing a little exploring.

I've been working from home and I am actually starting to enjoy it. It does take some getting use to, being home all day and all. It felt a little weird at first but starting to settle into that as well. All in all I'm feeling pretty darn good these days.

I feel bad that I haven't had time to go around and explore your blogs lately but I am going to fix that right now and I am going to go around and visit each of you because I miss my bloghearts.

What are your plans for the upcoming weekend?

Today Was A Good Day

Today was sunny and warm and I loved it! Spent the whole day shopping with my girlfriend here in Stone Mountain.

I really enjoy hanging out with my girl but I am very sensitive to her husband's feelings. I do not want him to think I am coming down to GA and have his wife running the street all the time. That is certainly not going to be my plan. Don't get me wrong, he was very cool and wanted her to go out for a day of shopping but I am sure that he wouldn't want that to be a weekly activity.

I will not be the one to put a wedge between the two of them or our friendship for that matter so I will limit the amount of time we hang so that her husband won't get upset but I sure did have a good time.

Am I wrong for wanting to be sensitive to my girls marriage?

Whew! It's Been Awhile

Hello my blohearts. I'm still alive. I know it's been like forever since I've posted but I've been crazy busy. The move to Atlanta is complete and I'm now a Georgia resident.

I'm beginning to get my bearings and find my way around which is great. I have everything I need right here in very close proximity and I love it. There are restaurants, there's a Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Staples, a mall, my banks, EVERYTHING I need is right here and I love it.

The weirdest thing happened and I am a little pissed about it. On Saturday as I was going to pick up my buddy to go shopping the rear view mirror fell from the windshield. I have never seen anything like this. I just got the damn car a few days ago, geesh!

The dealer's service department was closed on Saturday and Sunday so I took the car in yesterday and they are currently looking into the best way to handle the situation. Geesh.

I hate AT&T! I choose them as my telephone and Internet provider. they hooked up my phone on time as promised but why am I still waiting for my Internet modem? I am so freakin pissed right now. I have never had such horrible service. How in the hell can you have your customers waiting this long for Internet? This is so unacceptable and I am not happy. My whole job relies on the Internet so they are interfering with my livelihood. I had to go to Radio Shack and purchase a mobile USB to have Internet connection while I wait for my modem. You can best believe AT&T is going to hear about this bullshit.

OK, guys, that's all for now. I'll keep you posted on all the adventures, once they actually begin. Off to visit your blogs.

Tootles!

You Like Me, You Really Like Me

Yesterday some of my coworkers took me to a going away lunch We went to one of my favorite places to eat. Me love Japanese restaurants with hibachi grills. Mmmmm mmmmm.

As we were preparing to place our orders a black and white gift back was shoved in my face. I was all "What in the world is this?" They were like, "Just look in the bag."

I pulled out the tissue paper and Voila! I saw this box.

Then I removed the top and saw this:

This bracelet is gorg. They know me so well. Then another coworker handed me an envelop and this is what I saw:

I was all giddy and whatnot. I belted out,"Oh yeah!! I so need this. I have to buy all new towels and wash clothes and sheets and everything." They were all "We don't feel sorry for you!" Bitches.

I love my coworkers.
