You Suck

If anyone knows me they know that I absolutely hate DirecTV. I hate Dishnetwork too but that's beside the point. I have DirecTV so they are my target today.

I have always had cable because their service is always reliable. I have always made a conscience effort to never subscribe to satellite because whenever there is a trickle of rain the damn service goes out. Not with cable.

Well, in this apartment were I live, we are forced to have DirecTV because these bastards get a kickback for forcing us. Well of course I signed up kicking and screaming because I knew there were going to be days when it would drizzle and my damn TV would go out and sure enough it happened a few times. We had a thunder storm today and the electric flickered as it typically does during thunderstorms. The lightening fried my DVR! I was too through. I unplugged the DVR, nothing. It is completely dead.

I called DirecTV and those bastards told me that they wouldn't send anyone out. If they did I would have to pay $50. They would mail me another box and I would have to set it up myself and all of this for the low, low cost of $20. Are you kidding me?

I have to pay for another box to be shipped AND set it up myself? When the hell did horrible customer service become the norm? Yikes. I can not wait until I move from this place and get rid of DirectTV.

You get horrible customer service because those rat bastards know you don't have any other choice.

I have Comcast and I thought they sucked.....

I had a dish years ago. Hated it. It would go out if you even looked at the dish funny. I don't have any choice when it comes to my cable company and their service sucks, too, because they know I'm stuck with them.

Ok, What is up with that?..They said, that they could mail you another DVR and you have to install it yourself...ARE YOU SERIOUS? And for $20 bucks

I'm sorry, but they should not be allowed to do that.
Whatever happen to providing great customer service?

Like, Who would sit in a boardroom and think this crap up? or
Whatever kind of room?...LOL

Who would decided on that? Probably a room full of lazy A** men...Got me mad!!!!

Good Luck!

Just telling it like it is said...

Shit this is cause enough for a cuss word..I hate it when that happens

I vaguely remember Dish doing something like that to me. Can't remember the incident, but I remember being as mad as you sound now. WHY is it that when their product goes wrong, we have to pay?! Don't they want us to continue using their service?

what the world? I had direct for a couple years and yeah they went out at the threat of rain but I have never heard of you having to pay and reset up your own DVR that is some bull feces! I was forced to get Comcast in my new place and so far they've been better (still pondering Verizon though which is also available). That's just unacceptable, trying to start a I Hate DirectTV site on facebook!

I've been a direct TV customer for 7 years now and in the beginning it was cool, got the friendly "thanks for being a loyal customer" calls......now as you said if/when the wind blows my cable goes out!!! and I needed a new box and called them and told them the box was the problem, dude told me it was the connection and I had to have a tech come out. Tech comes out and sure enough it was the box, he replaced it with no problem. But now I have a connection problem and they want to charge me $50 for the tech to come out again, cause I get one free service call a year!

I refuse to go back to comcast and I can't stand verizon cause they are blood sucking thieves.
