Booty Call Protocol

I was sitting in my apartment watching TV and a question suddenly hit me. Is there a booty call protocol? Let me give you a back story.

In the show I was watching, a woman walked into a coffee shop and found her lover talking to another woman. She was calm and collected and simply asked him, "So is this the reason you had to leave early?" with a sly grin on her face. I immediately started thinking, 'Wow, she handled that really well. I'm impressed.' I began to think how I would handle a similar situation. If I saw my lover with someone else do I have a right to get angry? Especially if there is no commitment between us? Is there a booty call protocol when you see your lover out with someone else when you two are not in a monogamous relationship?

How would you handle this situation? Would you feel your lover owed you some sort of level of respect or do you feel you guys owe each other nothing?

I would hope that I would be ladylike and take the high road but I would probably snatch the dude bald and kick the girl in the teeth but that's just me.

She was way too nice. I know I would've wanted to slap a bald spot on his head!

But if you are not exclusive or commited...You have the right to date other people...I would prob make sure he saw me, then walk away...But if we are comitted...thats something different lol

I think it would depend on if the booty call was more than once.

oh the things that you think of! I love it. I really have no idea as I've been married for over a decade. But for sure if that was my hubby...there would be no niceties!

IMO, if they are really just late night/on call buddies, then nope, she's not owed anything. Which is the reason that most women SHOULDN'T just be bed mates. They can't handle it.

I wouldn't be sleeping with the guy unless we were in a committed, monogamous relationship, so if I catch him with another woman it's not going to be pretty. It will, however, be ugly in private, not in a coffee shop.

If it's not a committed relationship, I wouldn't really have a right to say anything. If it bothered me that much maybe it should be a committed relationship and we should have a serious talk.

I also will not sleep with a guy if I am not in a very committed relationship. The second I saw something like that, we're done. I wouldn't even fight for him because I'd be over him already. -She can have him!

If you are not married....then i think what she did would suffice, i would top it with a nice sarcastic remark though, one she wouldnt get...thus making her slow(ke ke ke) and one tht'd have him gasp!

Hmmm...good point! I am sure he would have felt some type of way if he saw the lady out with someone.
