Are you celebrating Halloween?

Ok, so I went to the grocery store on Halloween. I needed to pick up a few things. There were several cashiers in costume. Cute. No problem.

I go to a line and as I get to the cashier I ask,” So what are you supposed to be today?”

She looked at me with a furrowed brow and scrunched face, “What do you mean?”

“Aren’t you dressed in costume for Halloween?” I ask.

She looked at me and said, “No! I’m not in no costume!!!”

All I could do was say, “Opps. I’m sorry.” Grab my bags and walked out.

You just never know these days.

Same thing for the gay guy in the drive up at Starbucks. If it weren't for the fact that he had the cardboard cup wraps on his wrists I would've never knew he was in costume.

Ummmmm - what was she wearing? Or was she just that ugly?

The teacher was surprised that I didn't wear a costume to class. Like I'd risk getting a costume messed up by wearing it to an art lab.

Besides, this year's costume didn't really have pants, so it was not appropriate to wear to school.

In high school one year a supervisor tried to organize some fun things, so we had some dress up days like 50's day and clash day. And we'd try to be nice an compliment people on their 50's clothes or their clashing clothes or whatever. And on clash day there's this girl who has on like a plaid skirt and a striped top, and they don't have matching colors or anything. And we're like, that's perfect for clash day, and she's like I didn't do clash day, these are just regular clothes. Whatever.
