Sprint Can Kiss My Ass!

I was looking at my cell phone thinking how bored I am with it and that I'd like a new one. I get on Sprints website because I'm too lazy to get in my car and drive my happy ass to the store. As I'm perusing the site. I see a couple phones that I actully think are ok.

I begin to wonder if I was eligible for a discount on the upgraded phone. I call the customer service number and once all the preliminary crap gets out of the way I find out I can receive $150 off the purchase of my next phone!!! YIPPEEE!!! But then it dawns on me.......'what's the catch?' so I ask the woman on the phone if I am required to sign ANOTHER 2 year contract. She informs me that in order to get that $150 off I need to sign a contract for 2 years.

Sprint can kiss my ass! There is no way I'm signing another contract and be a slave to them for two more freakin years. They had me locked in for the last 6 years...they can just forget it!

I'll just pay the full price of the phone.

Bastards!

I wonder when we can just move around freely with our phones. I want to get a new phone but I have a year to go on this stupid ATT contract. I don't mind ATT - but this whole contract thing. YUCK! Try Ebay to get your phone :)

I just got the Black Jack through ATT and I signed a 2 year contract. I figured that since I have been with Cingular/ATT for the last 10 years, I am really not going anywhere. Now I have to wait 12 weeks for my rebate of $150. 12 freaking weeks!

I just got a new phone with Sprint and signed up again. I feel like I'm with them for life but oh well. I haven't had any major issues with them so whatever! I hope you enjoy your new phone though!

Look around for any old phone that works with the contract. We bought a nice one from someone for $20 that first into our old old Alltell contrast.

lol @ your post title.

All cell phone companies are on that "you can have the phone free if you sign a new contract."

I'm like...I only want the phone babygirl.

phone contacts make me insane. i'm stuck with T-Mobile for something like another 20 years. good thing it works where and when i need it... for now. =:-(

Did you check with work? Maybe they have a company wide deal that you get a discount.

That's how it is for me and I only have to sign a one year contract to get half decent free phones.

You could always go pre paid and get any phone at anytime and avoid all the contract bullshit.

Have a good holiday weekend.

I waited for my Verizon contract to run out & they started sending me vouchers for free phones & free service - it went up to 3 months free before I cancelled with them to sign with AT&T. They LoooooVE their contracts.

Sprint?!?! **running away screaming!!**

I have Sprint too and I HATE THEM. I am a slave to them for a long time though because I have really bad credit right now and NOBODY would give me an account. UGH!

Yup...this is how all phone companies get you tied in. Verizon does it too. I say your right, just pay the full phone price. I've heard Alltel, a company I am not personally familiar with has no contracts and such.

I lucked out and know an employee of Sprint so I am on their "employee rate" plan which I can't reveal the cheapness for unlimited everything but let me say it's CHEAP!

Yeah, I am in the market for a new phone, so I hear ya sista. It is the same here in Oz, but cause I am in hicksville we only have the choice of a couple of providers...

My husband (AKA Mario-porn-star) found a way to unlock his phone. Dickhead can't remember how he did it though.

Everybody I know who has Sprint hates them (wondering how in the hell they stay in bidness).

ATT does the same thing, but I'm like Karen...I've been with them forever & know I'm not switching companies, so I don't mind extending my contract for a new phone.

Did you pay for the insurance? I'd run the damn thing over with my car then call Sprint & tell em I need a replacement. They come out with new models every friggin month & sometimes discontinue a certain style. You may be able to luck up & get a new phone as a replacement (don't ask how I know this).

Good luck with that...

Speaking of Sprint, It's Thanksgiving Day and my network is NOT allowing me to send any text messages. Sprint sucks!

Happy Thanksgiving!

That's how I feel but I like my Verizon service but hate the phone they gave me. The Razr stinks. I hate it. It probably wont last me the full two years til the next free phone in which case I will probably transfer over to my old LG phone which worked much better!

I think cell phones have made people very lazy and inconsiderate. Especially people at work. Stuff that they used to have to tell you before you left work on your last shift they now think that they can call ten minutes before you need to know that you've switched assignments with someone or you've been taken off the schedule for that day and other crap like that, cause they just assume that if they call they'll get your cell and it's okay. It's not okay. Even if you do get my cell and I actually answer it, that crap is not okay. This late I am not changing my plans. If you want to change stuff you have to do it in a timely manner, and the morning of is not timely.

I have had a cell phone for just this year. It is supposed to be for emergencies only, but I have occasionally used it call my own house or to tell someone I am about to leave so they'll know when to expect me. I've used less than a hundred minutes. I bought about four hundred to start with, so I'll still have lots left over when I have to buy some more in January. I can't imagine signing any contracts or anything like that.

oh I have all these troubles too. They are so sneaky...I had to sign for a 2 year contract to get a half decent broadband deal as well as sign my home phone line over to them.

Bastards.

Same thing happened to me last week!!!!

Pissed me off to no end...'cept I was desperate and had to have a phone from the store immediately (held up my missing antennae, cracked and battered phone I only had for like, two years, and stated "military grade MY BUTT!!!"

The guy blankly looked at my poor phone (which looked like an old piece of yellow and black scuba gear that had barely made it through a violent shark attack) and stated "Ma'am, if you can just wait til March you can get the $150 off..."

I did not have time to shove it where I wanted to....

... and ended up taking it on my end to the tune of $300 for new one...

GGGRRRRRRRR.

There are always so many limitations to the good deals out there on cell phones - I am a personal slave to Cingular -oops - AT&T I mean - see I can't even get the nane right!
