I Need Help

Is there a Shopaholics Anonymous out there? If so please direct me to the nearest meeting? My name is Tee and I am a shopaholic.

I spent way more money this weekend shopping then I had planned. I just couldn’t stop myself. I saw…I wanted…I bought.

Budget be damned, I was a woman in a shopping frenzy. Shirts and blouses. A new pair of jeans that cut off my circulation but who cares they are cute. I’ll just unbutton the top button. It’ll be alright. No one will ever know. The price of cuteness is painful people. Stuff for the house.

I think I single handedly brought the country out of recession this weekend.

The president will be so proud of me. My invitation to the White House I’m sure will be in the mail any day now.

Thank you : )

What else do I say....I can't ask for a loan from you know.

I spent a lot of money too this weekend but on the dumb car and things for my kid, NOTHING for myself. Go you!

Enjoy it and remember to breathe once in a while. Don't eat for 12 hours before putting on those jeans and for heavens sake, don't pee after more than 2 drinks, they might not make it all the way back up. Wait, this is you, not me we're talking about.

Have a great week!

P.S. Just cause you missed my party doesn't mean you can't call or come visit....so you know.

At least you made me feel better about this weekend now.

I'm going to spend around $400 and that's just getting there, getting back. Then there's food, entertainment, shopping.. I am looking at $800 LOL

I will of course, post my finds if I buy anything. Look for it.

P.S. There is a real Shopaholics Anon out there...

I haven't been out in the stores because I'm afraid I'd get a high off buying but I really can't afford it.

Oh my god - I missed that whole season too - I didn't know Carrie and Doug broke up and I had no idea that Arthur married Spence's mom. When are they going to air those episodes? They never show those.

And - thanks for pointing me to pioneer chick's puppy website - so cute!

I like to shop too. I just recently have decided that I can buy things for myself and it opened up a whole new world...now I scare myself :)

...and I helped pull England out of my shopping spree as well! Maybe we should set up a shopaholics meeting together?

LOL. As long as you only do it once every 6 months or so, there is no problem with it.

Hah, hah! You're expecting me, who should be a charter member now of "Crafter's Confidential" or some such organization that tries to keep idiots like me from buying more and more and then, MORE crafting stuff if I know anything about a Shopoholics group?
That's a joke and a half, right there! Must have been something in the atmosphere this weekend though cause I dropped almost $100 buckaroonies over at the Joanne Fabrics store! Gonna have to cut back, big time, on the grocery expenses this month, I am.

Oh girl! I'm right there with you! I see, I want, I buy. When you find that meeting, please let me know. We can sit together!

Sounds fun! I love to shop too. I am trying to cut back this year & it makes me SAD.

Now that I have kids, it is even harder. There are always cute things for them and they grow so quickly.

Um, with all that money you're spending...um, gimme 20 dollars.

Nothing wrong with spending cash!

LOL. You're silly. I'm avoiding all stores at the moment because I would probably go in and buy up stuff for "spring fashion." But I need to save!

It's easy not to be addicted to shopping as a guy. In any given mall, we have at most 3 stores that sell only stuff for guys. The rest is stuffed in small corners of stores mostly for women. Case in point: I used to like Structure, until they renamed it "Express for Men" and attached it to Express, leaving us yet one less man-option.

Thank you! I've been a little worried about this recession-- so glad you took care of it for us. Make sure you wear those cute jeans to the White House (and a rubber band around that button will make it look as if they fit just fine) ;-)
