How Much Do You Trust Your Best Friend?

Hey guys, I have a question for you. How much do you trust your best friend? Do you trust your friend enough to be left alone with your mate?

If you don't trust them then why are they your best friend?

I have some that I trust and some I don't. There are a few of my friends that I trust implicitly and others I wouldn't trust to hold my purse when I went to the ladies room. That's fact.

Many years ago I used to have this best friend that I thought I could trust. Hindsight being what it is I should have seen all the clues that she was nothing but a scallywag low life tramp. She did the unthinkable. She slept with my man. Oh honey that is a serious no no. I cut her off and I stopped seeing him as well. Done! I hear nowadays she has 9 kids. Whatever.

Ex best friend, I leave you to your hoedome.

I trust my best friend with EVERYTHING. BUT more importantly, I trust HUBBY.

My two closest friends I would like to say I can trust with my life, but I'm not sure on the man front. One of them knew I was seeing this guy, and he was flirting like mad with her, and she lapped it all up. We had a big fight about and she apologised, said she just liked the attention. She's still a mate but wouldn't trust her with any fellow I would be seeing!

sometimes it's not how much you trust your bf, but how much you trust you husband.

I won't have that problem coz my best friend is a guy :)

I have two best friends in the whole wide world who are not blood related...and yes, I'd trust them with not only my life but the lives of my children and my Mac...in fact Good Sister (remember, no blood relation) actually saved Mac's life during a heart attack, so that remark is proven...like you say, if you can't trust them, why bother to claim them as bff?

I would trust mine with everything. They have proven themselves over the years. Plus, now my bests friends are all happily married, but I trusted them before too. I guess I am lucky.

I my bbf yes i trust with all and everything and maybe one other of my friends but the rest not so much. I learned from past experiences that u have to draw your line somewhere and have trust in him to alert u if something isn't right.

I would like to say that I can trust my friends with my life. I have wonderful friends. However, you just never ever really know, do you ?

I would trust them if I had to with a boyfriend or husband, but I wouldn't give them much opportunity either to be around him all the time.

You summed it up correctly. If you can't trust them, why are they your best friend?

Wouldn't the better questions be how much do you trust your mate?? I'd leave my mate alone with ANYONE and expect that he behave.

Otherwise he wouldn't be my mate.

Ouch. Nine kids is pretty good payback though.

I trust hesitantly because I too was on the receiving line of an unfaithful man. I know that I can trust my twin sister. She will no doubt, always be there for me. The reality is that there are only a few that I would trust completely.

If I can't trust you, we can't be friends. Why put all that time and energy into someone that I have to watch with a *side eye*

Sounds like neither one of them were worth a thing! Sorry you had to go through that.
I do trust my friends. And my hubby:)

I've been burned before. Now I am just way to guarded in my relationships. Sometimes I think even with my husband the one person I shouldn't have to be guarded with. Not because of him but because of my own fears and past experiences.

I don't trust my boyfriend alone for a long time with any woman, they all find him attractive, and the flirting begins.

I just had this same dilema myself very recently and posted it on my blog....I have ALWAYS had trust issues...majorly...NOW I can say that there are 3 women that I will trust with my man...and I do trust my man to NOT cheat...but in saying that I surely aint no fool and dont put anything past anyone...Yes, thats contradicting I know...to an extent...
