A Couple of Randomness

This weekend I went to see Takers with some girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. That's right bloghearts I turned a year older this weekend. I have to admit Takers was FABULOUS!! It is the perfect date movie as it has all the action and swagger men like and the swagger and eye candy we women like. Win win! I have to tell you that I just want to lick Paul Walker and Idris Elba.

At home this weekend I watched In Her Shoes with Toni Collette and Cameron Diaz. NOTE, If you have NOT seen this movie please do not read any further...Spoiler Alert. I've seen it before but for some reason it got me reflective this time. I don't know. Anyway, Cameron's character sleeps with Toni's character's boyfriend. Toni and Cameron play sisters so you know this is a no no. Obviously this puts a serious rift in the girls' relationship. Ultimately Toni forgives Cameron. I was torn at this. Part of me was really glad for the sake of the movie that the two girls healed their relationship but another part of me, the REAL part of me was all "Hell no!" there would never be any forgiveness of a skanky sister sleeping with my man.

So my lovely readers, I decided to bring this up to you. If your sibling slept with your significant other could you forgive them?

Love you long time!

Things like that are about the only things that make me feel happy about having been a only child. But, if I had a sibling who did something like that, I think I probably could forgive -eventually -although it wouldn't happen overnight! That much is for sure!

I cant say as I would forgive...or forget...I mean what happen, happened and cant be taken back...Its done with...I would be very dryly social...but other than that...the bond is broken...there can never be any trust there...ever...

I would forgive my family for anything. If a guy cheats on my than it is him who should be be kicked to the curb. I can forgive my sister for having issues and needing attention.

Hmmm... great question... I forgave a sister that fucked me over when Dad died... but Im not sure I could forgive a brother that would fuck my gf/wife... hmmm...

Like JStar said, trust on both sides would be greatly shattered...

No but I wouldn't also give a thought to the now ex lover. It takes two.

Well, I have a brother, so if he were to fuck my man, I would have bigger issues to worry about.

I wouldn't talk to ANYONE that betrayed me like that, I don't care how close I thought we were. Behaviour like that is inexcusable.

Life's too short.

Forgive and forget. Move forward and don't ever let your sister meet any of your bf's.

Or preface any meetings w/ the sarcasm to your sis, "Try not to bang this one? K?"

It's definatly both parties fault.

Happy Belated!

Just telling it like it is said...

Happy Birthday suga...a blessed day indeed...

Happy belated bday! I'm an only child, so it's very, very hard for me to step outside the box on this question. I'd like to say that I could forgive, but I don't think I could. I'm so sensitive and emotional (Cancer female), so I doubt that I'd be able to move past it.

Time heals all wounds and blood is thicker than water. She was wrong and so was the guy.
She would have to give me time (maybe months maybe years) to let it go but that doesn't mean I would not be there for her if something went down in the mean time.

An Important Distinction in Many Successful Relationships

Dialogue from Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown

Louis Gara (Robert DeNiro): You trust Melonie around your business?
Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson): She’s trying to play you against me, huh?
Louis: Yeah.
Ordell: See, I knew it. You ain’t have to say nothing, I know that [woman].
Louis: I don’t understand why you keep someone around your business and you can’t even trust them.
Ordell: I ain’t gotta trust her. I know her.
Louis: I don’t know what that means, man.
Ordell: Well. You can’t trust Melonie. But you can always trust Melonie to be Melonie @ http://franklove.net/2010/07/26/an-important-distinction-in-many-successful-relationships/
