Now I Have To Starve

I was at the hospital recently visiting my mother when I decided to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat. I walked in, choose my food then proceeded to the check out. I was sitting down minding my own business when a guy walks up to me and says that the chef wanted to know if I was married or dating anyone. Why did I have a flashback to junior high but that's another story.

I said no and the guy came back with the chef's name and number. Great. He seems fine and all but with everything going on right now I have not had time to call him.

Because of that I can't show my face around that damn cafeteria because dude is gonna question me on why I haven't called him. Dagnabit! How would I answer him..." Uuuhhhh, see, what had happened was...uuhhhh.....I was busy.." Yeah, original.

Now I have to have someone else go in and buy me lunch or dinner and run pass really quick so he doesn't see me. Sometimes it's really hard carrying all this lusciousness around.

Damn I hate it when that happens!! But I have had hospital food and it's not all that great...So, maybe your saving yourself from a strange bacteria that the chef has...Hope she gets better hun!

That is awful.

Girl, you better just explain that this is a hospital and that right now you have to think of your mother not hooking up with some man.

Better yet, just send someone else or bring a brown bag.

See, you just have to be honest. I just would of gave the chef back his number and said I was flattered but not interested. I would rather feel weird at the beginning than for always... then again, after reading
'just tell it like it is', maybe he would of poisoned your food. Yeah, stay away!

Well, for one thing, you did not ask for the chef's number. And you didn't give him yours. And it was not a mutual exchange of information by two people who have clicked. This was some guy giving you his info without you having asked for it.

And, it sounds like this is some guy giving you his info without you having talked to him or giving him any reason to think that you might want his info.

And for some reason he can't be bothered to come out and talk to you to give you his number himself.

Who is this chef? Ratatouille? Why didn't he come out and ask for your number himself?

I don't think that you are under any obligation to call this guy since you didn't express any interest in him to begin with.

So I wouldn't think that you have some social reason to avoid the cafeteria. It isn't like when you dump a boyfriend for no good reason and then everyone hates you afterward. You just didn't call someone you had no reason to call anyway.

But you might want to eat somewhere else anyway, if you suspect he is the sort of childish person who would do something unpleasant to your food if he sees you there.

this happened to me with the mexicans at the mexican food stand when I used to work at the mall. It was the one time I gave up mexican food. The hatchy matchy sounds were not ok.

You are all that and a (bring your own so you don't have to go the cafeteria) bag of chips.

come on give the guy a break. Go in and eat. He needs to see you. Just tell him to look but not touch.

I hate it when guys do that ! He is being a pussy for not going up to you.

Men that usually pass off the number through friends are usually ugly anyway.
