I Have Had IT!

Wow! It's been a whole 7 days since I last posted to this blog. If you have been keeping up with the news you know that things here have been a little crazy with 4 feet of snow. I've been digging out since last weekend. Craziness.

My body is so sore it is unreal. I've used muscles I didn't even know existed. I was not built for all this shoveling snow crap. Do you know there is not a shovel or snow blower to be found here in Maryland. None! Go ahead...try to find one. I'll wait. Told ya. Every place has sold out and it's bananas. I had to shovel my way out with a gardening shovel people! A GARDENING shovel. Craziness.

Hopefully we are done with all this because I can't take much more.

Today I was able to get back to a normal schedule for once. Not sure how I feel about that actually. I kinda liked being snowed in with nowhere to go and plenty of food to eat. I was all good.

It is going to take months for all this snow to melt. If I never see another snow flake in my life it will be too soon.

Mother nature can bite me!

oh no! not a gardening shovel! yikes! We had 6 shovels to choose from, but yes, with just two of us and a long driveway, I NEVER EVER want to see snow AGAIN! ugh! 4 ft far surpasses my limit! especially when the wind blows it all back on the driveway and i have to shovel it again! :(

I can't say that I know how it feels. I've never had to shovel snow or de-ice my windshield even.
But I totally used an umbrella this month. PHEW! Life's rough when nature gets all crazy.

One winter -several years back when the kids (mine) were still here, still in school- I ended up having to shovel my car out with a garden shovel too. All because the snow shovel(s) I had purchased the winter before had all mysteriously disappeared. The funny thing here is that EVERY. FREAKING. YEAR. for several years running, a snow shovel disappeared. Someone wanted to make sure I kept the snow shovel business in business I guess. Last winter, we had two snow shovels but I see now -again- we only have one. I have no idea where these things are going and why would it happen only to us too? Craziness, I tell you. Whoever heard of a snow shovel thief? Talk about strange fetishes, huh?

Holy snowstorm! I'm way north of Baltimore but we don't have anywhere near that much snow.

I live in Denver and know that everybody thinks that we get that type of snow all of the time. NOT!!! So I do feel your pain and hope that it's over.

I almost feel guilty for complaining about it being in the 80's here. Folks are walking around in their shorts and sandals.

I have to admit that the snow is beautiful but 4 feet is almost overkill!

I can't wait till spring.

Although I did walk to the top of Federal Hill and took a few nice photos of the Harbor during the storm. And all the bars around Cross Street were open and packed right after the storms ended.

But I really am sick of the snow.
