I Have An Addiction And I Need Help

I have a confession to make... I am a Deal or No Deal junkie. At 6:00pm I must turn on to watch the new weekly ½ hour version to get my fix and I LOVE it.

I must admit though, I think I am going to give myself a heart attack by watching it. I never realized how stressful that show really is. I’m sitting there yelling at the TV, “Low number! Low Number!” “The left side! The left side dammit!”

It’s terrible. If someone unveils the $500,000, $250,000 or $100,000 too soon I fall into a deep depression.

I agonize over whether or not to deal or push it just one round further. Oh the pressure is excruciating.

Even though my blood pressure rises to out of control levels I can not stop watching this show.

And here is the kicker; I applied to be a contestant. I’m not a glutton for punishment at all am I?

I have a question for you; if someone asked you to be their supporter on Deal or No Deal would you expect them to give you part of their winnings?

I can't take it any more. I need a drink.

LMBAO! You did not apply to be a contestant. HA! I think if I were a close family member or friend, I'd expect a little something something if I were a "friend" on deal or no deal--especially if I help that person beat the system.

I get frustrated by the greed on the show. If you get the banker up to 200,000 or more--get out while the gettin' is good!

I would not expect that someone share their winnings with me at all. Maybe buy dinner or something, but no actual money.

I love that show. I watched it the other day when Aretha Franklin called in to the show.

I almost passed out. She didn't exchange the case and only won $5K and a walk on role, blah blah.

She was that close to a million dollars. UGH!

yeah....that show gives me fever.

You need to go on the show! You'll be AWESOME!

If you choose people to support you and you win a million, break them off a little something something! ;)

I have to be honest - I've never watched the show. It sounds STRESSFUL girlfriend! I've seen some of the chicks that hold the suitcases and they are pretty hot.

But, anyway, I will DEFINITELY watch if you go on and I wouldn't expect anyone to share any money with me either.

How cool! If you got on the show that would rock.

I haven't been on the show, but I did go to one of the auditions or whatever it is called.

And at the time there was on online game that you could practice on, but I don't know if it is still there.

For some reason I'm not a fan of that show but my son loves it. Um..I don't believe I would expect part of the winnings for my participation.

I'm addicted to all the girls on there.

I have the computer version of Deal or No Deal and I stress over that. So I would support you mentally, from the comfort of my home and yes, expect some cash :)

I probablys shouldn't tell you this, but at Chuckie Cheese's and other video game type places, they have a DOND game you can play.

Talk about addictive. I love that show too. Sometimes they have it on during my lunch hour and I can't get involved since I can't see how it ended.

I don't even know what the show is about. I just notice that some GIRLS flip some thing over.

We used to watch that show all the time about two years ago because my little granddaughter, we discovered, had found it and SHE absolutely loved the show! It was about the time Maya had just begun to learn to talk and she would watch "Deal" and cry out to the contestant "Deal, deal!" Too comical for words to watch her then. Her speech therapist even got her a "Deal or No Deal" game -complete with the little silver briefcase -for Christmas that year.
If you do get on the show, I'd be more than happy to support you. However, you'd have to reimburse me the transportation costs since I'm generally too broke to afford anything like that. If I weren't existing on poverty row though, I'd be more than happy to pay my own way but any winnings -honey, that'd be yours, all yours! Go for it! Hope you make the cut and get on the show. I'll support you as a viewer for free then too -coaching you along via esp maybe?

Never seen the show so can't comment. We do have it here, but I've never really been into game shows, but I do know other people who are as addicted as you! lol

You crack me up! I think it's awesome that you applied to be a contestant and no, I don't think you should have to give your supporter any of your winnings - that's a personal choice for only you to make though..I hope you make it on there!

I think it's very cool that you applied to be a contestant. Now, breathe and check into a 12 step program! :D

I think most of the supporters are family members. Don't family members always feel a little entitled to winnings?

Perhaps if you get selected for the show, you'll get over your addiction. I guess it could get worse... :)

I would consider doing some meditation after the show to balance things out. :OP

If you buy a lot of briefcases and hide a dollar in one you can REALLY appreciate the VIRTUAL feel of the game too.

Long, slow breaths, girlie!

No, I'd not expect anything but a most excellent bottle of wine out of it!

Expect it? Well...I'd probably never actually ask, but hell yeah.

So, in summary, I'll be your supporter.

I wouldn't expect anything if I went for support. If they want to give me something, that's fine but I wouldn't expect it at all.

LMBO!!!! That is the funniest thing. Part of me hopes you don't make it on to the show. I can't imagine what would happen to you and what the repercussions would be if and when you aren't vicariously playing through others! J/k all the best to you. Oh and yeah they better be prepared to give me a cut of that money!!!

I am like that with prison break. It always seems like they are about to be caught but he always finds a way.show made my nerves bad

P.s. Turn off word verification so we don't have to type jgjgjvcgdkls just to leave a comment :)

I would expect it ALL BABY, just for the pleasure of my company.

Oh and you would have to fly me over there too...

walk away from the tv, Tee...
My whole family got addicted to it when we moved here. I just liked the British version so much better-- it's not about sexy women holding boxes. They have a group of people holding the boxes and over a few weeks you get to know stuff about them, and then one day their name is called and their the contestant.
I HATE when someone I like does badly.

I was on a game show and ended up giving the guy who helped me with a question who was on the show a gift and a little bit of money, but it was a little bit. It was more a token of support than anything else. He didn't ask for it, I just did it.

I think if that person helped you win you should break them off a small piece of something (depending on the weight of that answer).

I never understood why they cut it down to a half hour but I love it to. I have the home game and its a blast.

LOL!

You better believe I'm getting a cut if I'm going to support!
