I need a What????

Ok…..I had been having problems with my heat pump as of late. The damn thing has been leaking water all over the freaking place! The powder room, the hallway and the laundry room. I need a damn canoe!

So I decide it’s time to call a professional out to see what the problem was before I start seeing fish swim by in my living room. I call one place:

Me: “Hi yes, I am having problems with my heat pump leaking water everywhere. How much is your service call?”

Dumb Ass: “ It’s going to be $79 for the visit and an additional $50 every 15 mins the technician is there.”

Me: “Get the hell outta here. Are you serious?”

Dumb Ass: “Yes Ma….”

Me. CLICK

I then proceed to call another heating and air condition place:

Me: “Hi yes, I am having problems with my heat pump leaking water everywhere. How much is your service call?”

Clueless: “It’s going to be $125 for the visit then $79 for every half hour the guy is there.”

Me: “Is he going to cook me lunch, clean my house and wash my car afterwards?”

Clueless: “Excuse me Ma'am.”

Me: CLICK

I finally found a repair place that actually was pretty reasonable. The guy comes over and begins his work. He looks at me then at the heat pump then back at me and asks: “Where is the filter?”

Me: “The what?” Looking dumbfounded

Repair Guy: “The filter that goes into the unit. It’s missing.”

Me: “Uuhhhh…a filter goes in that thing?” Shrugging my shoulders.

Repair Guy: Heavy Sigh “Oh boy.” I swear I saw him rolling his eyes.

Don't they realize that if you knew what the problem was, you wouldn't need their asses to come in the first place? SMH.

But look at the bright side...at least it was just a filter & not something major.

Because I'm a chick I probably would've written the first dude a check w/o thinking about it. lol

My favorite is when they say they won't come out because you're not a customer.

Uh, I'm calling because I want to BE your customer.

No lie. It happens.

Hope the filter was the end of it.

Well, where is the filter?

Obviously, if you didn't know what it was, you didn't remove it.

Do you have gremlins or something?

The guy you just broke up with is a grown-up, right? He wouldn't have snuck in and done that, would he?

well at least you got the cheaper guy. heh.

HA HA HA I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing WITH you. This reminds me of the time I called GE when my garbage disposal wasn't working. He came over and flipped a switch. Then gave me a bill for $55. *dead*

The beauty of renting, is I don't have to pay for that kind of stuff, thank god!!!

LOL

Tell me...Did you tell him that if you knew where the filter was (or that it required a filter at all)--that you wouldn't have bothered calling him in the first place??

And don't they look at you as though your supposed to know everything about the way it all works. It's worse when your a man. When you take your car into get fixed and they ask you about the starter motor and how long the brake pads have been on.

Girl, i hate household stuff you don't know a dayum thing about, but needs fixing....HATEIT! That's what a man is for...at least that's what he used to be...now i'm getting jacked by everybody, cuz the bottomline, somebody got to fix it. I feel ya on this!

Am still renting so the minute anything goes wrong I call the super.

If you knew what was wrong with it you would not need to call them. LOL I can see him rolling his eyes now.
