Bloggers Who Leave us

Have you ever visited one of your favorite bloggers only to find that they have put up a "I'm busting out of this blogging shit" message?

I mean really........I want to tell them..."Bring your ass back and continue to blog dammit because without you my day would be boring as hell. How dare you leave me?"

LOL I know it's crazy and people stop blogging for their own personal reasons but think of us for goddness sake! We, the reading public, enjoy reading your blogs so you can't just up and abandon us like this.

Oh...this only applies to the fun bloggers. LOL

I have watched some blogger leave for some deep reasons. One person was being harassed. Another's fam was reading and going off.

I have wanted to stop for a while and may do so I can focus on writing.

i hate when they just up and go. i want some time to adjust to them leaving!

I hear you. There are three blogs I check on everyday, hoping they will come back. They're gone. Oh well.

I'm still fairly new to this whole thing so I've never experienced it just yet.

I can certainly imagine though (the feeling)--LOL

I am addicted to nothng like that...the blogosphere is quite full. One leaves, ten takes its place. lol...though I wonder if some of my readers would feel that way about me since I try to keep it fun and interesting.

hmmmmmm...somethng to ponder.

I'm sure that I have a few people right now that HATE that I didn't leave blogging after last week. but c'est la vie. I wouldn't leave without warning though I would exchange emails with people just to keep in touch

So I guess now isn't the right time to tell you that I'm probably going roll out soon.......

GOTCHA...Awwww girl, you know I'm just playing. LOL. I've got way too much stuff to talk about!!!!

I hate it when that happens. :-( But what I don't get is (like mentioned in an above comment) how people get all wrapped up in it & it begins effecting their personal life. Hmmm...

You're lucky if they leave a note like that. Sometimes it just stops without warning. Sometimes everything is fine and then nothing for weeks, and then maybe they come back, and maybe they don't. And sometimes they're saying that they don't feel so good or that their dog died, and then you never hear from them again and wonder if they're dead or something.

I used to next blog once in a while and find blogs with only one entry and the entry was either something about not knowing how to go on after someone broke up with them, or a really depressing poem. And then they never write another thing. You wonder if that was a suicide note or something.

I've never wanted to stop. I hope I never do. I love blogging. But, yes, I totally know what you mean. I swear it seems to be happening more and more. I find a great blog and I look forward to reading it and then they close up shop! I hate that!!!!!

you can't get rid of me if you tried.

i do however get put on blogging punishment every now and then. my husband thinks blogging is dumb. LOL

I tried to stop twice, but something keeps pulling me back.

the best i can do is take li'l breaks (which only means i blog for 2 hours a day instead of 8;-). LOL! but seriously, sometimes i do need to go away from all things man-made & mechanical to balance myself out.

i did experience the "loss" of one of my favorite blog-o-spheres & i felt like i'd loss a friend, luckily they contacted me via email so i know they are ok personally. whew!

it's funny that u posted this, Sistah Diva - for some "odd"(?) reason recently I wondered - what would happen to my blog if I passed away - would anyone be notified? would anyone be concerned? but now that i know some bloggers personally - i can rest assured that they'll spread the word - if they're still here:-)...not to sound morbid - it's just a reality in the circle of life.

Hi, didn't see an email for you, but I saw you posted on Moxie's blog and I thought I'd pass along this warning. I'm Jay C.M. on Moxie's blog. The warning is, beware, you are not allowed to "call" Moxie on her own bad behavior. On Moxie's article
http://moxieblog.typepad.com/moxieblog/2007/06/titty_titty_fin.html I tried to make this post...Moxie didn't like it, now I'm banned (no warning, no notification). I've never been profane, insulted anyone, and think I've always written reasonable things. But apparently one is not allowed to "call" Moxie on her own behavior. Apparently Moxie is allowed to be abusive towards her post-ers and violate the principles she requires of others, but you are not allowed to "call" her on that behavior. Here's the disallowed post (all in response to Moxie's repeated attacks on the poster called Cricket...and I did try to discuss this in email with Moxie but she was just condescending and hypocritical):

Wow, just read Moxie's anger and attacks.

>Oh My God. SHUT. UP.

This seems inappropriate & unfair, and sure to keep some people from ever posting. Of course, your blog, do what you like, but this won't lead to open discussions. Are post-ers allowed to act like this (tell each other to shut up, call each other slut, swear at each other, and accuse each other of blatant lying)?

You accused several of us of beating a dead horse...even if we weren't repeating arguments. Here you are beating your own dead horse, repeatedly saying the story is bullshit, accusing Cricket of an agenda, and saying she's mentally fucked-up. Is anyone else even on that horse, is anyone else saying Cricket's fucked-up & lying to further some agenda of hers?

WTF?!? And if you're tired of the discussion, why were you stirring it up?

>She wanted people on a blog (and maybe her husband who apparently might be reading) to think she was some sought after piece of ass.

I don't think so. And reading her story didn't make me think "wow, she must be hot", it made me think "here's someone giving their take on their sexual play approach".

>if she was straightforward and it was just a one time thign then... ...she'd tell them that blow jobs weren't an option.

Is a woman responsible for whatever expectations are in a guy's head and it's her job to know whatever his are and make sure she volunteers info about them in advance?

I hope I'm a fun blogger ...

... and isn't that what archives are for?

A few of the ones that I really enjoyed either went downhill really fast or they stopped blogging all together.
I have moved on and found other great blogs but every once in a while you wonder how those other bloggers are doing.
I think that my blog is kinda boring, but if people like to read it that is great.
I sometimes wonder what I am going to blog about next.

I took some time away from blogging but that Soprano's ending brought me back. Now I can't stop and won't stop because I don't want to do anyone the way the Soprano's writers did me!
